Development Manager

The Development Manager is a key leadership position responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all of MNWR's fundraising efforts. This individual will develop and implement strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government sources. The Development Director will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to achieve the organization's fundraising goals and ensure its long-term financial sustainability.

1. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the organization's annual revenue goals.

  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.

  • Manage and grow the organization's donor base through targeted outreach and engagement strategies.

  • Oversee the development and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals.

  • Write grant proposals and reports to secure funding from foundations and government agencies.

  • Manage the organization's donor database and ensure accurate record-keeping.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors on fundraising initiatives.

  • Prepare and manage the development department's budget.

  • Stay up-to-date on fundraising best practices and trends.

  •  Build a contact database of potential sponsors and leads.

2. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in the non-profit sector.

  • Strong understanding of fundraising principles and techniques.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in fundraising software and donor

  • management systems.
